Working with Insurance
For clients who opt to use insurance, please note the following:
- To bill your sessions, we must provide payers with a diagnosis and dates of service.
- Occasionally your insurance company may seek more information, even session notes, which we are obligated to provide.
- Various factors including copays/coinsurance, where you are in your yearly deductible, which insurance company you have, and which insurance plan you choose all factor into your out-of-pocket costs. The only way to know for certain about cost ahead of time is to contact your insurance company.

Private Pay
Our private pay rate is $200/hour. For individuals earning less than $80,000/year and couples earning less than $120,000, a sliding scale is available here.
Individual Therapy
Our therapists are trained in multiple modalities of individual therapy, including interpersonal process, humanistic-existential, and family-systems therapies grounded in a person/client-centered philosophy.
Couples Therapy
We have three therapists – Chad Corbley, Abbe Straw, and Ryan Rose – who work with couples of all kinds. All our therapists are experienced and comfortable working with people in diverse types of relationships (e.g., polyamory, power-sharing relationships, and individuals/couples identifying as part of the BDSM community).
Group Therapy
City Counseling offers a Gay/Bisexual Men’s group on Thursday nights from 6:30-8 facilitated by Dorian Kondas. Please call or email for availability. Stay tuned for new group offerings!
Weekends of Recovery
Chad volunteers with two organizations (unaffiliated with City Counseling) dedicated to helping adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, rape, and other forms of sexual violence. Taking Back Ourselves focuses on female-identified survivors while Men Healing focuses on survivors who identify as male. Feel free to reach out to Chad (drcorbley@gmail.com) with questions about the organizations and the weekends of recovery.
