Olivia Shagla, M.Ed., LPCC

Pronouns: She/They
Works with: Adult individual clients
Specializes in: LGBTQIA+, mood and personality disorders, religious trauma, ethical non monogamy, disordered eating issues, obsessive compulsive disorder and gender exploration.

The world can feel pretty scary a lot of the time, and I believe therapy can be a place to navigate it in a safe and supportive environment. I focus on cultivating  a non judgemental space to meet clients where they are at in life.  My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct and compassionate, as well as using humor as an outlet when it is needed during a session.  I believe therapy is never one size fits all and should be a place to explore what works for you with support.

My treatment experience and focus includes working with anxiety and depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, religious trauma and PTSD, personality disorders, dissociative disorders,  disordered eating, LGBTQIA+, and  ethical non monogamy relationship dynamics.. I use an integrative lens for therapy but lean into  using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)  with an underlying note of existential framework.

When I am not working as a therapist, I enjoy pouring my time into exploring and learning about coffee and craft cocktail creations which I love to yap about. I have a tuxedo cat named Poe who is a true menace, but perfect nonetheless.  I also can spend hours whittling wooden trinkets on my porch, hiking and watching birds as well as traveling as much as I can.
